About the role

This role involves sourcing and evaluating suppliers, obtaining quotations, preparing purchase orders, and negotiating with suppliers to ensure quality materials and timely delivery. You will monitor inventory levels, maintain supplier relationships, and ensure compliance with company policies.

About you

• Diploma or Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Logistics, or a related field

• Good negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Able to work independently as well as in a team

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel

• Able to communicate effectively in English and Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin. We are seeking candidates proficient in both English and Mandarin to effectively communicate with our diverse client base and stakeholders.

• Experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain will be an added advantage

Key responsibilities

• Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, reliability, and delivery

• Obtain quotations and compare prices, specifications, and terms

• Prepare and process purchase orders (PO) accurately and promptly

• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers

• Monitor purchase orders and follow up on delivery status

• Maintain good relationships with existing and potential suppliers

• Coordinate with internal departments to understand purchasing requirements

• Ensure purchased materials/products meet the required quality and specifications

• Maintain accurate purchasing records, documents, and supplier information

• Monitor inventory levels and assist in preventing shortages or overstock
