Responsibilities
Monitor and analyze operating costs, including manpower, maintenance, materials, fuel, insurance, consumables and other business expenses.
Track and analyze actual costs against budget and standard costs, identifying and investigating variances.
Monitor costs at a detailed level by business unit, cost item, project and status.
Review purchase orders, invoices and outstanding commitments with relevant operational teams.
Monitor and track variation orders, project charges and cost recharges.
Prepare clear and concise financial reports, cost analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Work closely with operational and management teams to monitor and improve cost performance.
Support budget preparation, forecasting and cost optimization activities.
Work with the Accounting team on monthly closing, accruals and provisions.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial and cost reporting.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
Improve cost control tools, reporting processes and standard cost accuracy.
Support ad-hoc financial analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
5–8 years of experience in operational cost control or controlling.
Strong experience in cost analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
