About The Role
As a CBRE Shift Operation Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining medium to large-sized buildings, industrial systems, and equipment.
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
What You'll Do
- Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
- Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
- Recruit, supervise, and coordinate building maintenance and engineering staff.
- Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules for all assigned facilities.
- Inspect facilities regularly and report on building condition and maintenance requirements.
- Assign and oversee work orders, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Enforce health, safety, and environmental standards across all maintenance activities.
- Manage inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Coaches junior tradespeople and shares knowledge of own job discipline and practices.
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to accept ideas.
- Works within broad guidelines and policies.
- Impacts a range of customer, operation, project or service activities within own team and other related teams.
What You'll Need
- Engineering diploma or SKM with min. 5 years of job-related experience.
- Have supervisory experience.
- Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.
- Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
