Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP IS-Oil Functional Consultant to support an SAP implementation project for a global consulting client.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in SAP IS-Oil functional configuration, with expertise in one or more downstream oil and gas submodules. The consultant will be responsible for functional design, configuration, testing, training and deployment activities, working closely with business stakeholders and cross-functional technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute SAP IS-Oil functional activities across design, configuration, build, testing and deployment.
• Gather and analyse business requirements and translate them into functional specifications and SAP solutions.
• Perform hands-on configuration of relevant SAP IS-Oil submodules.
• Support end-to-end downstream oil and gas business processes, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
• Work closely with technical teams on developments, enhancements, interfaces and integration requirements.
• Participate in system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), defect resolution and validation of end-to-end business scenarios.
• Support data migration, cutover planning, deployment and Go-Live activities.
• Prepare functional documentation, test scenarios, training materials and knowledge-transfer documentation.
• Deliver training and provide functional guidance to business users and project stakeholders.
• Independently manage assigned functional deliverables and resolve complex SAP IS-Oil issues throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong hands-on experience in SAP IS-Oil functional implementation and configuration.
• Demonstrated expertise in at least one of the following SAP IS-Oil submodules:
• TD – Transportation & Distribution
• TDP
• TSW – Trader's and Scheduler's Workbench
• HPM – Hydrocarbon Product Management
• MAP
• Experience delivering SAP IS-Oil solutions across the full project lifecycle, including functional design, configuration, build, testing, training and deployment.
• Strong understanding of downstream oil and gas business processes.
• Experience with SAP integration points and interfaces involving other SAP modules and external applications.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of functional deliverables and collaborate effectively with business and technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience integrating SAP IS-Oil with ETRM (Energy Trading and Risk Management) systems.
• Experience with OAS (Oil Accounting System) integration.
• Exposure to SAP S/4HANA implementations, migrations or transformation projects.
• Previous experience delivering SAP solutions for downstream oil and gas, refining, trading or distribution organisations.
