Responsibilities

Customer Service & Sales

• Welcome customers, explain product features, and answer questions in a friendly, patient manner.
• Drive sales by suggesting relevant products and following simple upsell techniques that fit customer needs.
• Handle returns and exchanges according to company policy, maintaining professional responsibility and respect.
• Collect customer feedback and pass useful insights to the marketing team for campaign improvements.

Store Operations

• Operate the point-of-sale system accurately, process payments, and balance the cash drawer at shift end.
• Receive deliveries, check invoices, and update stock records using basic inventory tools or spreadsheets.
• Set up displays and ensure merchandise is neat and priced correctly to support conversion.
• Perform daily opening and closing checks to keep the store safe and presentable.

Teamwork & Reporting

• Coordinate with the store manager and marketing colleagues to execute promotions and briefings.
• Complete short shift reports and log incidents so the team stays informed and compliant.
• Help train new hires on routine tasks and share practical tips to improve store performance.
• Follow health, safety, and loss-prevention procedures to protect team and stock.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of retail or customer-facing experience, ideally in media, marketing, or consumer goods.
• Completed secondary education or equivalent; certificate in retail or sales is a plus but not required.
• Proven track record handling sales targets and daily cashier responsibilities.

Hard Skills & Knowledge

• Comfortable using POS systems and handling cash accurately, with basic reconciliation skills.
• Familiar with stock management practices and comfortable using spreadsheets or simple inventory software.
• Good product knowledge and the ability to learn new product lines quickly.
• Basic understanding of retail merchandising and price labeling standards.

Soft Skills & Qualities

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to build rapport with customers and colleagues.
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible with clear professional responsibility in daily tasks.
• Problem solving mindset to handle customer issues calmly and escalate when needed.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work flexible shifts including weekends.
