Mathematics & Additional Mathematics Teacher (IGCSE)

Job Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Mathematics and Additional Mathematics lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum.
• Develop effective lesson plans, teaching materials, assessments and revision programmes to support students’ academic progress.
• Teach and prepare students for IGCSE Mathematics and Additional Mathematics examinations, including past papers, examination techniques and targeted revision.
• Monitor, assess and track students’ learning progress and academic performance.
• Identify students’ strengths and learning gaps and implement appropriate intervention and support strategies.
• Maintain a positive, structured and engaging classroom environment that promotes active learning and student participation.
• Apply appropriate pedagogical approaches and differentiated teaching strategies to cater to students with different abilities and learning needs.
• Analyse students’ assessment and examination results and develop strategies to improve overall academic performance.
• Provide timely feedback to students and communicate students’ academic progress to parents and relevant academic staff when required.
• Collaborate with other teachers and the academic team in curriculum planning, assessment and school academic programmes.
• Participate in school activities, meetings, professional development programmes and other duties assigned by the school.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Education or a related field.
• Minimum 4-5 years of teaching experience, preferably with proven experience teaching at an international school.
• Strong knowledge and teaching experience in Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics and Additional Mathematics.
• Proven track record of achieving good student academic and examination results.
• Strong understanding of pedagogy, classroom management and differentiated learning strategies.
• Ability to analyse student performance and implement effective academic intervention strategies.
• Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passionate about teaching and committed to supporting students’ academic and personal development.
• Experience in preparing students for Cambridge IGCSE examinations will be an added advantage.

Pay: From RM4,000.00 per month
