Job Summary

Looking for a VMware Infrastructure SME with experience in VMware-to-Cloud transformation programs. Candidate should have hands-on expertise in VMware vSphere, vCenter, migration assessment, workload discovery, dependency mapping, data migration, and platform transformation to AWS, Hyper-V, or OLVM. Experience with VMware HCX, cloud migration tools, cutover planning, and post-migration validation is mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Lead VMware-to-Cloud transformation programs by applying hands-on expertise in VMware vSphere and vCenter to optimize infrastructure performance
  • Conduct migration assessments to evaluate workloads and dependencies for accurate migration planning
  • Perform workload discovery and dependency mapping to identify critical components and interrelations for seamless migration
  • Execute data migration and platform transformation to AWS, Hyper-V, or OLVM, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity
  • Utilize VMware HCX and cloud migration tools to facilitate efficient and secure migration processes
  • Develop and implement cutover plans to coordinate migration activities and minimize operational disruption
  • Conduct post-migration validation to verify system functionality and performance meet business requirements

Required competencies and certifications

  • Proven experience with VMware HCX, cloud migration tools, cutover planning, and post-migration validation as mandatory skills for effective migration delivery

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Experience aligned with roles such as VMware Migration Architect, Cloud Transformation Architect, or Infrastructure Migration Lead
