Role overviews
An Assistant Electrical Engineer is to support electronic component testing and lab operations. The role involves setting up tests, troubleshooting issues, documenting results, and helping the team maintain accurate, reliable testing practices.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate test equipment, including but not limited to multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power devices.
• Perform electrical tests and failure analysis on electronic components according to approved procedures.
• Read datasheets and schematics to identify test requirements and expected results.
• Record test data accurately and prepare clear reports for review.
• Help troubleshoot test failures, equipment issues, and unexpected results.
• Maintain test equipment and follow lab safety and ESD-handling practices.
• Assisting Engineers to facilitate audits as and when necessary
• Work with engineers and lab colleagues to improve test setups and procedures.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of electronic circuits and electrical measurements.
• Ability to read technical documentation and communicate findings clearly.
• Careful, attention to detail and a practical approach to troubleshooting.
