Job Overview
Savourer Pte. Ltd. is a Singapore-based integrated building, interior design and engineering contractor specializing in general building construction, design and build, renovation, and project-related services.
We are looking for an Art Works Conservator to support our construction, renovation and interior projects involving decorative features, artwork, architectural finishes and existing art-related installations. The role focuses on the careful assessment, protection, maintenance, conservation and restoration of artwork and decorative elements within project sites.
The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, designers, site supervisors, contractors and other project personnel to ensure that artwork and decorative features are properly handled and maintained throughout renovation and construction activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, assess and document the condition of artworks, decorative elements and selected existing finishes before, during and after renovation works.
- Carry out basic conservation, preservation, cleaning, maintenance and restoration activities where appropriate.
- Prepare artworks and decorative features for relocation, storage, protection or reinstatement during construction and renovation works.
- Apply suitable protection methods to prevent dust, moisture, vibration, impact and other site-related risks from affecting artworks and decorative finishes.
- Assist with the installation, positioning, reinstatement and maintenance of artwork and decorative features within interior project areas.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure conservation requirements are considered during renovation and fit-out activities.
- Maintain records, photographs and condition reports for artwork and decorative features.
- Identify visible deterioration, damage or conservation concerns and report them to the relevant project personnel.
- Assist in selecting appropriate cleaning materials, protective materials and conservation methods according to the condition and material of the artwork.
- Follow project specifications, workplace safety requirements and site procedures.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and other trades where artwork or decorative elements may be affected by construction activities.
- Perform other related conservation, artwork protection and site-support duties as required for building and interior projects.
Requirements
- Diploma, certificate or relevant training in Art Conservation, Fine Arts, Heritage Conservation, Art Restoration, Interior-related studies or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant practical experience in artwork conservation, restoration, decorative finishes, art handling or interior projects will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of artwork handling, preservation and basic conservation practices.
- Able to identify common forms of deterioration such as surface damage, discoloration, cracking, moisture-related deterioration and physical damage.
- Good attention to detail and careful working habits.
- Able to read and follow project instructions, drawings, specifications and work schedules.
- Comfortable working in construction, renovation and interior project environments.
- Able to work independently as well as coordinate effectively with project teams and contractors.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Willing to work at project sites when required.
Working Environment
This position is primarily project-based and may involve working at construction, renovation, commercial, residential, hospitality or interior fit-out sites.
The role may require coordination with construction and renovation teams to protect, maintain and reinstate artwork, decorative features and selected interior elements throughout different stages of a project.

Pay: $6,000.00 - $10,000.00 per month
