1. Language

• Fluent spoken Mandarin, with the ability to accurately understand and communicate technical discussions.

• Good working proficiency in English, particularly listening and speaking; CEFR B2 or equivalent level is preferred.

• Fluent Bahasa Malaysia for workplace and on-site communication.

• Strong ability to communicate clearly across different languages and cultural backgrounds.

1. Education & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Translation, Languages, Communication, Engineering, Technical Education or a related field.

• Previous interpretation or translation experience is preferred.

• Experience in HVAC, mechanical/electrical engineering, manufacturing, construction, data centres or other technical environments is an advantage but not mandatory.

1. Competencies

• Strong consecutive interpretation and real-time communication ability.

• Able to understand new technical concepts quickly and explain them in clear language.

• Able to organize information and prepare practical written, presentation or video training materials.

• Comfortable working in project sites, equipment rooms and other technical environments.

• Detail-oriented and responsible when handling technical information.

• Willing to learn and develop beyond a traditional translation role.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• We are looking for someone who sees language capability as a starting point rather than the final career destination.

• The suitable candidate should be interested in learning technical knowledge, supporting the development of local service capabilities, and gradually growing toward technical training, knowledge support or service coordination.

• On-site Technical Interpretation

• Provide Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia interpretation during equipment installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting and technical training.

• Ensure technical instructions and operational information are communicated accurately between China engineers and local employees.

• Technical Knowledge Transfer

• Support engineers in transferring maintenance experience, troubleshooting methods and operating practices to the local service team.

• Help local employees understand technical concepts, procedures and service requirements more effectively.

• Training & Knowledge Materials

• Convert practical technical experience into clear and structured materials, including operation guides, maintenance instructions, troubleshooting cases, training presentations and short training videos.

• Maintain and continuously improve technical terminology and reference materials.

• Technical Documentation Support

• Translate and review relevant technical documents between Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia where required.

• Ensure terminology, technical information and key operating instructions are accurate and consistent.

• Training Support

• Assist in organizing technical training for new and existing local service employees.

• Support the development of reusable training materials for the Malaysia service team and, where applicable, other Southeast Asia teams.

• Continuous Development

• Develop a basic understanding of HVAC, cooling systems and data centre service operations through daily work and technical training.

• Gradually build capabilities in technical training, knowledge management and service coordination based on business needs and individual strengths.
