Role Summary

Joining the Health Operations team on a two-year contract, you will assess Shield claims and ensure timely, accurate decisions in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review, assess and approve Shield claims within agreed turnaround times, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handle claims investigations, enquiries and service recovery matters.
• Liaise with hospitals and clinics to obtain medical clarification for claims assessment.
• Respond to customer enquiries and resolve complaints professionally.
• Participate in projects assigned by your supervisor.

Requirements

• Two years of experience assessing life and health insurance claims.
• A degree in biology or a life sciences discipline.
• OMA and FLMI (Fellow, Life Management Institute) qualifications.
• Familiarity with human anatomy, common diseases and disease management.
