Location: Singapore
Reports to: Head of Advisory, Singapore
Purpose
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join WSP's Advisory team in Singapore as part of a shared technical bench supporting proposal development and technical due diligence across our Property & Buildings, Transport & Infrastructure, Power & Energy and Earth & Environment accounts. You will work flexibly across both of our Key Account Managers' portfolios, providing mechanical engineering input into due diligence assessments, feasibility studies and client proposals, prioritising your time according to live deadlines rather than a single fixed sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce mechanical engineering content for advisory proposals and due diligence reports: technical risk assessment, condition and performance review, across building services, energy, process or infrastructure mechanical systems.
- Support both Key Account Managers and the Director of Advisory across live opportunities, prioritising workload according to proposal deadlines and pipeline urgency.
- Coordinate with WSP's wider mechanical/MEP discipline network to source deeper technical input, benchmarks and precedent where required.
- Contribute to scoping and costing of mechanical engineering workstreams within advisory proposals.
- Maintain a library of proposal-ready mechanical content, case studies and credentials for reuse across pursuits, working with the Key Account Manager and Proposals Coordinator.
Requirements:
- 5 to 8 years of mechanical engineering experience within building services, energy, process, marine or infrastructure environments.
- Experience contributing to technical due diligence, feasibility studies, or proposal/tender submissions is a strong plus.
- Ability to translate technical mechanical engineering detail into clear, client-ready written content under deadline pressure.
- Recognised engineering degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline; professional engineer registration (PE/CEng or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Comfortable working across multiple concurrent proposals and sectors rather than a single dedicated project.
- Mechanical/MEP consulting, energy or process engineering, technical due diligence, or a contractor/operator technical team with exposure to proposal or bid work.
