About The Role
Design and build the target data platform on Snowflake (or SAP Datasphere) and ensure migrated pipelines and data models are robust, scalable, and well-governed. Deep Snowflake expertise is essential; SAP BW knowledge can be developed on the job.
What You'll Do
Design target data models, ingestion patterns, and transformation layers using Snowflake and SAP Datasphere.
Build and review ELT/ETL pipelines and data transformations, ensuring adherence to established coding and naming standards.
Contribute to source-to-target mapping reviews and translate business requirements and rules into functional code.
Define and implement security and access-control models, including role-based access control (RBAC) and data masking.
Support the design and planning of historical data migrations and cutover activities.
Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Participate in technical design workshops and collaborate with the client's architecture team.
What We're Looking For
5–8 years of experience in data engineering or data architecture.
Solid Snowflake experience, including data modelling, SQL, virtual warehouses, and basic security features.
Hands-on experience with Python or SQL-based ELT and a pipeline orchestration tool, such as Airflow, dbt, ADF, or similar.
Comfortable with at least one cloud platform, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Ability to read and understand data specifications and translate them into working solutions.
Nice to Have
Knowledge of SAP BW or SAP S/4HANA. Full training will be provided.
Familiarity with dbt, data lineage tools, or Snowflake SnowPro certification.
Supply Chain or Operations domain experience/exposure.
Growth Opportunity
Develop deep SAP BW knowledge and gain experience on one of the largest SAP BW-to-cloud migration programmes in the region, with a potential career path toward Solution Architect.
