Join our Final Test Engineering team as a Senior Staff Engineer and play a key role in driving test handling technology development, equipment strategy, and test cell engineering excellence. As the Test Handling Platform Owner, you will be responsible for defining and executing test handling roadmaps, establishing test capability for new semiconductor packages, and leading equipment technology development projects. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and equipment suppliers to deliver innovative, reliable, and cost-effective test solutions that support manufacturing and business growth.

Your role

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Define, develop, and implement best-fit test handling solutions for new semiconductor packages and products, ensuring readiness for manufacturing ramp-up.
• Own and execute the test handling roadmap, including capability development for test handlers, conversion kits, contactors, docking systems, and software platforms.
• Lead equipment benchmarking, technology scouting, sourcing activities, and gap analysis to identify opportunities for performance and capability improvements.
• Drive equipment and test technology development projects by defining scope, reviewing designs, managing supplier collaboration, and ensuring successful buyoff and release processes.
• Govern equipment software, machine recipes, engineering documentation, and technical standards in compliance with established business processes.
• Lead medium to high complexity test cell engineering projects, including test cell design reviews, qualification activities, performance monitoring, and reliability improvements.
• Monitor and improve test cell performance through data-driven initiatives focused on MTBA, MTBF, PPJ, disabled site reduction, throughput optimization, and quality enhancement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Test Development, Manufacturing, Product Engineering, Quality, and Equipment Suppliers to achieve operational excellence and business objectives.
  
  

Your profile

Qualifications And Skills To Help You Succeed

• Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in semiconductor test handling-related functions, including Gravity Feed, Pick & Place, Strip Test, or similar test handling platforms.
• Strong knowledge of test handler technologies, equipment architecture, conversion kits, contactors, docking systems, and automated semiconductor test environments.
• Experience in equipment development, qualification, buyoff, release management, and collaboration with external equipment suppliers.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent CAD software, with the ability to interpret and create mechanical drawings and engineering documentation.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven engineering decisions.
