We are looking for a commercially minded and product-oriented professional to join an established technology business specialising in digital solutions for the agricultural supply chain industry.

This is a hybrid role combining client-facing solution consulting and product ownership, offering the opportunity to work closely with enterprise clients to understand their business operations, identify challenges and translate industry requirements into practical product enhancements.

You will be involved from the early stages of client engagement, working alongside the commercial team to understand customer needs, discuss potential solutions and identify opportunities to enhance the existing product suite. Beyond client engagement, you will take ownership of product ideation, requirements gathering and feature development, collaborating closely with the engineering team to bring new ideas to life.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in client discovery sessions and meetings alongside the commercial team, engaging with senior stakeholders to understand their business operations, procurement processes, supply chain challenges and compliance requirements.
• Translate business challenges and industry requirements into clear product specifications, identifying gaps within existing solutions and proposing suitable enhancements or new functionalities.
• Take ownership of key product areas, including maintaining product requirements, defining feature specifications, prioritising enhancements and grooming development tickets for engineering sprints.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools and existing codebases to create initial prototypes or proof-of-concept solutions, demonstrating how proposed features could address specific customer requirements.
• Work closely with engineering, commercial and customer-facing teams to communicate product requirements, align on feasibility and ensure proposed solutions are delivered effectively.
• Stay informed about developments in agricultural supply chains, commodity trading, sustainability and regulatory requirements, identifying opportunities to improve the product offering and maintain competitiveness.

Requirements

• Experience in product ownership, product management, project management, business analysis, solution consulting or a related client-facing role.
• Strong understanding of the agricultural supply chain industry, such as rubber, palm oil, agriculture, commodities, agricultural sourcing or related sectors.
• Familiarity with industry workflows, particularly procurement, supplier management, supply chain operations, sustainability or regulatory compliance.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to engage enterprise clients and understand their business challenges.
• Ability to translate business requirements into product specifications, functional requirements and actionable development tasks.
• Comfortable working with engineering teams and understanding how technology solutions can address business problems.
• Interest in using AI-assisted or low-code development tools to create prototypes and validate product ideas.
• Adaptable, self-driven and comfortable working in a dynamic environment where responsibilities may evolve.

Good to Have

• Experience with sustainability, supply chain traceability or regulatory compliance frameworks such as EUDR, GPSNR or similar industry standards.
• Exposure to agricultural commodity trading, rubber, palm oil, tyre manufacturing or food supply chains.
• Experience working with enterprise SaaS platforms, supplier portals or procurement systems.
• Previous experience working in a startup or technology-driven environment.
