• Develop, improve, and optimize manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, product quality, and cost efficiency.
• Analyze production processes and resolve manufacturing issues related to sheet metal fabrication, stamping, machining, welding, powder coating, and assembly.
• Prepare and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flow charts, and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, R&D, Maintenance, and Planning teams to support new product introduction (NPI) and process improvement activities.
• Review engineering drawings, product specifications, and manufacturing requirements to ensure production feasibility.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for production defects and process issues.
• Support the implementation of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, waste reduction, and productivity improvement initiatives.
• Evaluate production equipment, tooling, jigs, and fixtures to improve process capability and operational efficiency.
• Monitor manufacturing performance, identify bottlenecks, and recommend solutions to reduce downtime, scrap, and rework.
• Ensure manufacturing processes comply with quality standards, safety requirements, and applicable ISO procedures.
• Develop and maintain PFMEA, control plans and process flow diagrams for new and existing parts.
• Lead structured problem solving using 8D, 5-Why and fishbone analysis, and close internal and customer non-conformances within agreed timelines.
• Apply SPC and process capability (Cpk) studies, and support MSA / gauge R&R for critical dimensions.
• Conduct time studies, cycle time analysis and line balancing, and maintain standard times for costing and capacity planning.
• Monitor and improve OEE of production equipment, and reduce changeover time through SMED.
• Drive Kaizen activities on the shop floor and track improvement results.
• Use AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks to review drawings and design jigs and fixtures.
• Prepare and process ECNs and process change requests within the approved authority.
• Train and validate operators and technicians on new or revised processes and work instructions.
• Prepare monthly Operation reports on KPIs, improvement projects and cost savings for the Operation Manager.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in manufacturing engineering or process improvement within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Sheet metal or metal fabrication experience (e.g. cutting, bending, stamping, welding, powder coating, assembly) is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiar with engineering drawings, manufacturing processes, and technical documentation.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Working knowledge of PFMEA, control plans, 8D, SPC/Cpk and MSA.
• Familiar with lean manufacturing tools such as OEE, time study, line balancing, SMED, 5S and Kaizen.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
• Willing to work, overtime and weekend support when required.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement.
