Job Summary

Perform comprehensive Quantity Surveying (QS) tasks including obtaining quotations, negotiating with sub-contractors, measuring quantities, preparing claims, and managing contract risks to support building construction projects efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Obtain quotations and negotiate terms with sub-contractors and suppliers to secure favorable agreements.
• Collaborate with Project Team, Consultants, Clients, and Sub-contractors to execute Quantity Surveying tasks accurately and effectively.
• Review main contract documents to identify and advise on risk mitigation strategies.
• Prepare Schedule of Rates (SOR) and cost estimations as required to support project budgeting.
• Manage procurement processes for sub-contractors, suppliers, and specialists, ensuring timely follow-up and formalization of agreements.
• Measure quantities and perform take-offs to prepare main progress claims, variation claims, and evaluate sub-contract variation claims promptly.
• Prepare Variation Orders, claims, and final accounts with accuracy and timeliness.
• Assist in tender preparation and related activities as needed.
• Execute all other Quantity Surveying assignments to support project delivery.

Required competencies and certifications

• Degree or Diploma in Building or equivalent qualification.
• Proficient knowledge of Form of Contract (Redas, SIA, and/or PSSCOC) and the SOP Act.
• Computer literacy in MS Office applications.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in building construction Quantity Surveying, preferably in a full QS role for A1 Main-contract or large residential projects.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
