General Accounting

• Work in multiple ERP environments while developing standard processes around these environments

• Perform manual journal entries to ensure alignment with accounting standards, key controls and policies.

• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations to detect errors, material misstatements, correct abnormal balances and ensure compliance to accounting standards and key controls.  Highlight recurring concerns or issues and aging items to address root cause and ensure timely escalation with the key objective of resolution.

• Ensure recurring accruals, prepayments and related amortizations are tracked and recorded timely

• Review team’s activities including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations to ensure compliance with policies and accounting standards.   Highlight recurring concerns or issues and aging items to address root cause and ensure timely escalation with the key objective of resolution. 

• Ensure timely and accurate processing of close activities in accordance with month and year end reporting deadlines. 

• Ownership of KPI delivery, and improvements where required, on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.

 Fixed Assets and Lease

• In coordination with Fixed Asset Manager, oversee and perform end-to-end fixed asset accounting processes, including asset additions, transfer and disposals and depreciations run.

• Review Capital Expenditure (Capex) request to ensure proper classification according to company capitalization policies and accounting standards.

• Ensure accuracy of input and update schedules in the specialized lease accounting software/ERP system.

• Ensure proper classification and accounting treatment between Operating Leases and Finance Leases under US GAAP.

• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations to detect errors, material misstatements, correct abnormal balances and ensure compliance with accounting standards and key controls.

• Highlight recurring concerns or issues and aging items to address root cause and ensure timely escalation with the key objective of resolution.

• Coordinate and support periodic physical asset verification and impairment reviews.

• Ensure strict adherence to internal controls, SOX compliance, and local tax regulations regarding Fixed Assets and Lease Reporting under US GAAP.

• Meet all designated Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and strictly follow closing timelines to ensure timely financial reporting.

• Manage BPO partners to ensure delivery of high-quality outcomes on time while maintaining adherence to key controls, policies, and procedures.

• Continuous improvement (CI) and automation initiatives to optimize the end-to-end Fixed assets lease accounting workflow and eliminate operational bottlenecks.

• Preparation and timely completion of BPC packages and reconciliation of schedules for Fixed Assets and Lease in the package accordingly. 

• Integrate Accounting processes from acquired companies into existing processes 

• Ensure that all processes and policies are compliant with Internal Audit and Sarbanes-Oxley control requirements 

• Prepare Quarterly balance sheet reconciliation and reasonableness flux analysis, review and remediation 

• Assist internal/external auditors in periodic audits 

• Identify and implement processes improvements and automation opportunities 

• Communicate directly with multiple functions and businesses and senior management within the organization 

• Preparation of non-standard ad-hoc journal entries as needed in line with policies 

• Team oversight, mentoring and coaching as needed in coordination with Team manager 

• Timely update of key tasks to Team manager

• Other tasks that may be assigned in line with Global Operations leadership
