Job Title: QA/QC Assistant (Office-Based – Furniture Industry)

Job Responsibilities

1. QA/QC Reports and Documentation

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly QA/QC reports, including inspection results, defect rates, non-conformities, and corrective actions.
• Compile, update, and maintain inspection records, checklists, and test results.
• Maintain and control quality documents, including SOPs, forms, and audit records.

2. Marking, Labelling and Artwork Checking

• Check product markings, labels, carton markings, barcodes, and artwork provided by suppliers against approved specifications and customer requirements.
• Maintain records of approved artwork and track revisions to ensure the latest versions are used.

3. Quality Assurance Support

• Assist the QA/QC Executive or Manager with internal and external audits, including customer audits and SMETA audits.
• Prepare audit documents, records, and supporting evidence as required.
• Perform other QA/QC-related duties assigned by the superior.

4. Office Administration and Coordination

• Handle filing, both hard copy and digital, as well as emails and document distribution.
• Provide administrative and coordination support to the QA/QC department.
• Carry out other administrative duties assigned by the superior.

Job Requirements

• Minimum SPM qualification. Diploma or Degree holders will have an added advantage but are not compulsory.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (basic formulas, filtering, and sorting) and Word.
• Detail-oriented, especially when checking text, spelling, numbers, labels, and artwork.
• Possess basic report-writing and communication skills.
• Well-organised, responsible, and able to meet deadlines.
• Possess a valid Class D driving licence. Ability to drive a manual-transmission vehicle is an added advantage.
• Fresh graduates and school leavers are encouraged to apply.
• Previous experience in the furniture industry, QA/QC, or documentation is an added advantage.
