SHB Malaysia Automotive Appliance Sdn. Bhd. is part of a global group headquartered in China, specializing in the manufacturing of automotive seat motors and wiper systems. We are seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to manage product costing, inventory control, cost analysis, and financial reporting to support effective cost management and business decisions.​

Key Responsibilities

1. Cost Accounting & Product Costing – Calculate product costs, allocate materials, labour, and manufacturing overheads, and maintain standard costing procedures.​

2. Inventory Control & Stocktaking – Monitor warehouse transactions, review inventory records, conduct periodic stocktakes, investigate discrepancies, and track obsolete or defective materials.​

3. Cost Analysis & Profitability – Analyse monthly cost variances, material price and usage differences, labour efficiency, manufacturing overheads, and product gross margins.​

4. Financial Reporting & Internal Control – Prepare cost-related journal entries, reconcile inventory accounts, submit cost reports, and strengthen cost control procedures.​

5. Audit & Cost Improvement – Prepare supporting documents for internal and external audits, assist with new product quotations, and recommend cost-saving improvements.​

Requirements

1. Diploma or above in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.​

2. Minimum 2 years of experience in cost accounting or costing within a manufacturing environment.​

3. Familiarity with manufacturing processes, inventory management, and product costing methods.​

4. Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with good attention to detail.​

5. Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to prepare accurate reports and work across departments.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,500.00 per month
