THE ROLE: 

As a Product Development Engineer, you will collaborate with various Product Development Groups to bring-up and ramp new products which include Plan, debug and handling manufacturing and characterization test programs for next-generation AMD microprocessors. 

THE PERSON: 

A successful candidate is one who can perform in a role that requires accountability for accuracy, reliability and completeness of assignment results critical to the project’s success.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Validate new product features, test conditions, test methodologies, and test contents during first silicon bring-up 
• Post Silicon Bring up of Test patterns leading to optimization for mass production enablement 
• Analysis of part failures leading to test improvement 
• Test pattern & test flow development, debug, test and characterization 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Perl, Python, Ruby, or shell scripting.
• Familiarity with Linux, Unix, or Windows operating systems.
• Understanding of semiconductor testing, validation, or debugging concepts.
• Exposure to Automatic Test Equipment (ATE).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with an interest in semiconductor product development.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a comparable discipline.
