Role Summary

• We are looking for a confident and responsible team member with a working knowledge of legal services to help explain and promote the firm’s services through social media videos, livestreams and other public content.
• The successful candidate will make legal topics easier for the public to understand, respond to general enquiries and connect potential clients with the appropriate lawyer. This role does not provide independent legal advice or replace a lawyer’s review.
• Key responsibilities
• Research and prepare clear, accurate content about the firm’s legal services and common legal questions.
• Host or appear in livestreams, short-form videos, interviews and online discussions.
• Explain legal processes and services in plain language, including areas such as conveyancing, tenancy, family matters, wills, debt recovery or other practice areas assigned by the firm.
• Draft video scripts, captions, FAQs and content calendars for platforms such as TikTok, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
• Coordinate filming, basic editing, posting and responses to comments or messages.
• Handle initial enquiries, collect basic information and refer matter-specific questions to the relevant lawyer.
• Keep records of enquiries and follow up with prospective clients in accordance with the firm’s procedures.
• Work with lawyers to check legal accuracy and obtain approval before content is published or broadcast.
• Monitor comments and livestream questions, and refer sensitive, urgent or case-specific issues to a lawyer.
• Protect client confidentiality and avoid disclosing identifying details, documents or case facts without proper approval.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in law, paralegal studies, communications, marketing or a related field; relevant experience may be considered.
• Working knowledge of legal terminology and common legal processes.
• Strong spoken and written English; ability to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and/or other language is an advantage.
• Comfortable speaking on camera and interacting professionally with the public.
• Good research, writing and organisational skills.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and basic video editing.
• Professional, careful with confidential information, and willing to have legal content reviewed before publication.
