Overall Purpose for the Job
To develop and grow the Production Chemicals business through customer relationship management, business development, sales execution, contract management, and coordination of technical support activities. The Account Manager will serve as the primary commercial interface between Deleum Chemicals and its customers.
Principle Duties
- Achieve annual sales and profitability targets.
- Develop new business opportunities with oil and gas operators, service companies, and industrial customers.
- Identify opportunities for production chemicals, water treatment chemicals, and flow assurance products.
- Prepare commercial proposals, quotations, and tender submissions.
- Negotiate contracts and commercial terms.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
- Identify opportunities in offshore, deepwater, and mature field developments.
- Coordinate product deliveries and service execution. Monitor contract performance and customer obligations.
- Work closely with the Senior Chemist and Business Manager to develop technical and commercial solutions.
- Coordinate field trials and customer evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with HSE and integrity requirements.
Knowledge/Experience Required for the Job
- 5–7 years of experience in sales, account management, or business development within the oil and gas chemicals industry.
- Experience selling production chemicals, water treatment chemicals, or flow assurance chemicals.
- Existing relationships with oil and gas operators and service companies will be an advantage.
- Understanding of Production chemicals applications, Oil and gas production operations, Tendering processes, Contract negotiation, Pricing and margin management, Customer relationship management.
Academic/Professional Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or related discipline.
- Degree/Diploma in marketing/business management is desirable.
Skilss
- Strong practical knowledge of nature and application of various production chemicals.
- Understanding emerging trends in process challenges and chemical KPIs.
- Good presentation skills
