Roles & Responsibilities

• Learn to identify and assess breaking news, trends and current affairs issues on social media;
• Learn to plan, propose and execute social media products based on identified news, trends and issues of relevance and interest
• Research, conceptualise and create content for social media (e.g. memes, infographics, short video edits)
• Platform management for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tiktok etc. (i.e. monitoring, moderating, publishing, curating, analysing and strategising)
• Shoot and produce short-form videos for TikTok at press events and media previews
• Closely monitors breaking news, trends and latest current affairs on social media

Learning Outcomes and Objectives

• Understanding the types of stories that attracts reader’s interest.
• Knowing how to package the stories using visually appealing visuals and interesting writing.
• Learning how to pitch for original articles and make it stand out among the rest.
• Understanding the production workflows and social media publishing workflow.
• Learning on the content management system.

Job Requirements:

• Strong command of the English language
• Resourceful and creative, able to work well both independently or as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Active on social media — familiar with Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube
• Able to work shifts, weekends and Public Holidays
• Demonstrable understanding of social analytics tools and platforms (e.g. Google Analytics and Facebook Insights)
• Bonus if you have experience working in digital media publications, or are comfortable being on camera
