At Dandy, our kitchen runs on consistency, speed, and discipline.

We’re looking for a Junior Sous Chef who can lead the team, control operations, and ensure every dish goes out right, every time.

Location

Sunway Pyramid · Setia City Mall (More outlets opening soon)

Responsibilities:

You will support the Sous Chef in running daily kitchen operations, ensuring SOP, quality, and team performance are executed consistently.

Kitchen Leadership

  • Lead and supervise kitchen team during operations
  • Guide Demi, CDP, and Line cooks
  • Ensure team discipline, readiness, and performance

Operations & Control

  • Ensure all dishes follow SOP, portion, and plating standards
  • Monitor service flow, timing, and coordination
  • Step in during peak hours to maintain control

Quality & Consistency

  • Maintain food quality across all orders
  • Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards
  • Control food waste and kitchen discipline

Planning & Support

  • Support inventory, prep planning, and stock control
  • Assist in training and developing junior team
  • Work closely with service team for smooth operations

Position and responsibilities will be assigned based on experience and capability.

Skills:

  • Experience as CDP / Senior Cook / Junior Sous
  • Strong leadership and kitchen control skills
  • Able to handle fast paced, high volume service
  • Good understanding of SOP, hygiene, and food quality
  • Responsible, disciplined, and team-oriented
