We are partnered with an established institution looking for a Lead Reliability Engineer to drive operational transformation across their regional digital workplace estate.

Reporting directly to the regional engineering lead, this individual will bridge modern platform engineering and digital employee experience, shifting daily end user support away from reactive firefighting toward telemetry driven, self healing infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Build real time telemetry, monitoring frameworks, and health dashboards across regional endpoint platforms to establish full visibility over user experience and fleet performance.
• Architect self healing runbooks and automated remediation scripts to eliminate recurring manual interventions around patching, provisioning, and operational workflows before users encounter issues.
• Implement operational metrics such as service level indicators, error budgets, and target thresholds to systematically guide engineering priorities and incident postmortems.
• Automate diagnostics and reporting pathways directly into L2 operational groups to accelerate ticket resolution and drive zero touch triage.
• Champion modern engineering principles across distributed operations groups, mentoring regional teams on reusable automation and continuous service improvement.

Requirements

• 10 years of hands on experience across Site Reliability Engineering, Modern Workplace Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure Operations.
• Strong automation capabilities utilising scripting and orchestration tools such as Python, PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API, Terraform, or Ansible.
• Deep technical familiarity with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Intune, and modern device management across Windows and mobile operating systems.
• Practical exposure to Digital Experience Monitoring or telemetry platforms such as Nexthink, 1E, or Lakeside, alongside enterprise ticketing platforms.
• Solid experience establishing service reliability metrics, service level objectives, and error budget cadences.
