Key Roles And Responsibilities
- Conduct market, sector, and company research across energy, logistics, and technology value chains to support origination, screening, and strategic assessment of potential M&A and project finance opportunities.
- Assist in financial analysis, valuation, and scenario modelling using methods such as comparable company analysis, precedent transactions, and discounted cash flow analysis.
- Prepare presentation materials, investment memoranda, briefing notes, and data summaries for internal stakeholders, management reviews, and transaction workstreams.
- Support due diligence activities by organising data requests, tracking information flow, coordinating with internal functions and external advisers, and summarising key findings and risks.
- Monitor transaction pipelines, maintain deal databases, and help track milestones, approvals, and action items across live and prospective projects.
- Contribute to the review of commercial, operational, financial, and strategic information to identify synergies, integration considerations, and value creation opportunities.
- Assist in benchmarking industry trends, competitor activity, regulatory developments, and macroeconomic factors that may affect investment decisions in Asia and other relevant markets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, legal, strategy, operations, and business units while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and professional standards in handling sensitive information.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Background in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated interest in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, investment analysis, strategy, or transaction advisory.
- Basic understanding of financial statements, valuation concepts, and corporate finance principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret quantitative and qualitative business information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with financial modelling, data visualisation, or research tools is advantageous.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings in a clear and structured manner.
- Strong attention to detail, sound judgement, and ability to manage multiple tasks within agreed timelines.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and adapt to changing business priorities.
- Willingness to support project-based work that may involve regional market coverage and coordination across time zones.
- Relevant skills aligned to market frameworks may include business intelligence, financial analysis, stakeholder communication, due diligence support, research, and data management.
