Key Responsibilities

• Manage project and programme engagement, including stakeholder communication, external vendor relationships, scope changes, solution design, risks, and issues.
• Manage stakeholder expectations through established governance processes and provide clear, effective communications to senior stakeholders on capabilities, proposed solutions, and project matters.
• Gather, analyse, and translate high-level business requirements into detailed functional documentation, user stories, and acceptance criteria aligned with business needs and organisational standards.
• Evaluate existing business processes to identify inefficiencies, improvement opportunities, and potential for automation of manual processes.
• Define and design end-to-end business processes and customer journeys across online and offline channels, ensuring requirements are clearly documented and communicated to relevant stakeholders.
• Develop detailed user stories in the prescribed format, ensuring they are sufficiently elaborated, consistent, and of high quality for developers to estimate and implement.
• Coordinate with business stakeholders to gather detailed requirements and ensure proposed solutions address business needs across the relevant processes and channels.
• Participate in planning and refinement meetings with Product Owners and System Analysts to explain user story requirements, clarify functional details, and support delivery planning.
• Work closely with the Product Owner to elaborate product requirements, clarify backlog items, and resolve dependencies or outstanding questions.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers on requirements involving user interface design and consult Solution Architects or System Analysts on technical requirements and dependencies.
• Identify and clearly document dependencies, risks, and issues, and monitor scope changes to prevent scope creep throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Ensure non-functional requirements are captured and incorporated into the proposed solution.
• Assess operational impacts arising from proposed changes and coordinate with affected teams to ensure these are incorporated into operational readiness plans.
• Work with Test Managers and testers to translate business requirements into test scenarios and support adequate test coverage.
• Maintain strong attention to detail and ensure functional documentation and requirements remain clear, complete, and aligned with the agreed solution.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 10–12 years of experience in the Cards and Payments domain, with strong Functional Business Analysis expertise.
• Relevant experience within a financial institution, preferably in banking or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of the card lifecycle and related business processes.
• Good understanding of payment systems and channels, including FAST, GIRO, PayNow, and QR payments.
• Proven ability to translate high-level business requirements into detailed functional documentation, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Strong experience analysing existing business processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and designing detailed end-to-end processes and customer journeys.
• Ability to gather critical information from stakeholder meetings and translate findings into clear, actionable documentation.
• Ability to communicate and clarify functional requirements effectively with developers and other technical stakeholders.
• Experience identifying, assessing, and documenting dependencies, risks, and scope changes.
• Excellent functional analysis and documentation skills, with strong attention to detail and a structured approach to requirements management.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to manage expectations and engage business and technical teams effectively.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement capabilities.
