Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT PMO to support and coordinate technology projects within the banking and financial services environment. The role will be responsible for project governance, planning, reporting, risk and issue management, stakeholder coordination, documentation, and delivery tracking across multiple IT initiatives.

The ideal candidate should have strong PMO experience with good knowledge of banking applications, SDLC, Agile/Waterfall methodologies, project governance, and IT risk management.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end PMO support and project governance for IT projects within the banking environment.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables, and dependencies.
• Track project progress against scope, timeline, budget, resources, and agreed deliverables.
• Prepare regular project status reports, management dashboards, presentations, and project updates.
• Maintain RAID logs covering Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies.
• Identify project risks and issues and coordinate with project teams to ensure timely mitigation and resolution.
• Organise and facilitate project meetings, Steering Committee meetings, and governance forums.
• Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, action items, and follow up on outstanding actions.
• Coordinate activities across Business, Application Development, QA, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Risk, Compliance, Operations, and external vendors.
• Monitor project deliverables and ensure documentation is maintained according to PMO standards.
• Track project budgets, procurement activities, resource utilisation, vendor deliverables, and project costs where required.
• Support project change management, including scope changes, change requests, impact assessments, and approvals.
• Monitor project dependencies across multiple applications, teams, and workstreams.
• Coordinate project activities throughout the SDLC, including requirements, development, SIT, UAT, implementation, and post-production support.
• Support project governance, audit requirements, compliance activities, and management reporting.
• Ensure project documentation, approvals, governance records, and project artefacts are properly maintained.
• Prepare materials for senior management and Steering Committees.
• Support continuous improvement of PMO processes, templates, governance frameworks, and reporting standards.
• Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with organisational policies, governance requirements, and regulatory expectations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Project Management, or a related field.
• Typically 4–8 years of IT PMO / Project Management experience, preferably within banking or financial services.
• Strong understanding of IT project lifecycle and SDLC.
• Experience working with Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid project methodologies.
• Strong experience in project planning, governance, reporting, risk management, and stakeholder coordination.
• Good understanding of project documentation and PMO governance processes.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
