Job Summary
The Project Engineer leads installation, implementation, and support of control and optimization solutions to deliver energy-efficient systems, ensuring reliable operations and providing technical expertise to teams and clients.
Responsibilities
Install, configure, and troubleshoot optimization and control products and services across regional projects to ensure system functionality and performance
Execute project implementation including energy-saving features, Fault Detection and Diagnostics (FDD), data analytics, alarm analytics, and energy dashboards to optimize energy use
Develop and document control strategies tailored to project and client requirements to enhance system efficiency
Conduct system auto-testing, testing, and commissioning (T&C) to verify proper operation and compliance with specifications
Propose retrofit solutions to improve performance and energy efficiency of existing customer equipment
Provide technical advisory and support to internal engineers and project teams to resolve issues and improve solutions
Participate in technical discussions with clients, vendors, and stakeholders to align project goals and technical requirements
Prepare comprehensive project documentation including control strategy write-ups, T&C reports, user manuals, and progress claims to support project milestones
Perform maintenance of existing systems remotely or onsite to ensure contractual obligations and system reliability are met
Diagnose system issues and implement corrective actions to maintain optimal performance
Manage subcontractors involved in panel design and onsite testing & commissioning to ensure quality, safety, and project specifications are met
Follow company systems, processes, and reporting structures to ensure compliance with internal standards and client requirements
Preferred competencies and qualifications
Experience in building automation systems (BAS), building management systems (BMS), HVAC controls, or energy management systems
Familiarity with control systems, data analytics platforms, and energy optimization solutions
Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related Engineering discipline
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
