Job Summary

Do you love storytelling, filmmaking, and creative media? We are looking for enthusiastic Freelance Movie Making Instructors to guide students through fun, hands-on filmmaking activities.

In this programme, children learn the basics of storytelling, filming, and visual creativity by creating their own short films. Students explore concepts such as story structure, camera angles, acting, and stop-motion animation while working together to plan, film, and edit simple videos.

This role is ideal for students, graduates, filmmakers, educators, or creative individuals who enjoy working with children aged 6–12 and inspiring them through creative storytelling and media.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging filmmaking lessons: Guide students through activities such as story planning, filming scenes, and creating short videos.

Teach basic filmmaking concepts: Introduce ideas like storyboarding, camera angles, framing, and simple editing.

Encourage creativity and collaboration: Support students as they develop ideas, act in scenes, and bring their stories to life.

Support hands-on production: Help students operate filming devices and guide them through the filmmaking process.

Maintain a safe and structured classroom environment: Ensure students remain engaged and work collaboratively during activities.

Collaborate with the team: Work with programme coordinators and fellow instructors to deliver consistent sessions.

Key Requirements

• Interest in filmmaking, storytelling, media, or creative arts
• Enjoy working with children and supporting creative learning
• Responsible, organised, and confident leading small groups
• Strong communication and facilitation skills
• Willing to travel to various school locations across Singapore
• Willing to undergo a background check (required for school settings)
• Able to commit to weekly CCA sessions for a minimum of 6 months (excluding school holidays)

Additional Skills & Experience (Preferred but not required)

• Prior experience teaching or leading activities for children
• Experience with video production, storytelling, acting, or media projects
• Familiarity with stop-motion, simple editing tools, or mobile filmmaking

Interview & Selection Process

Candidates will undergo a 3-stage interview process:

• Initial Screening (Video Call)
• Face-to-Face Session & Trial Lesson Segment
• Tryout Class (Final Review) – Conduct a supervised class session

Training Provided

Lesson materials, curriculum guidance, and instructor training will be provided.
