Teacher Aide

Salary: $17–$18/hour (approximately $2,394–$2,535/month)
Contract Duration: 2 years, subject to a 1-year extension
️ Contract Period: January 2027 – December 2028
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. (inclusive of a 30-minute lunch break)
Working Days: Monday to Friday; no weekends or public holidays

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a science room, science laboratory or similar educational setting.
• Diploma or equivalent qualification preferred.
• Experience in gardening or hydroponics is an advantage.
• Good organisational, time-management and communication skills.
• Basic computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Good command of written and spoken English.

Job Responsibilities

• Support the procurement, organisation and maintenance of science room resources, materials and equipment.
• Assist with stocktaking and ensure science rooms and equipment are clean, organised and well-maintained.
• Prepare materials, apparatus and equipment for science lessons and practical activities.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and minor repairs of science equipment where required.
• Maintain and care for the school's hydroponics systems.
• Assist teachers with science-related programmes, activities and events.
• Support the Science Enrichment Corner and other science room-related duties as assigned.
