LIVE COMMERCE INTERN

Internship – min. commitment 3 months, 6 months preferred

Young Hungry Free is a Singapore fashion and social commerce brand built around self-expression, community, and culture. Beyond apparel, we operate across e-commerce, TikTok Shop, livestream commerce, fulfillment, retail activations, and pop-up experiences.

This internship is designed for students who want real exposure to how modern retail brands operate today, beyond traditional brick-and-mortar retail.

Interns will gain hands-on experience across:

Note: The working hours may vary outside of the standard 9am-6pm, depending on livestream schedules.

(A) KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

(I) Pre-Livestream Preparation

• Confirm livestream line-ups and show structure
• Coordinate with Operations for product withdrawals and availability
• Set up studio spaces with programming in mind (rack arrange in show order)
• Prepare product lists, live carts, and backup items for quick swaps

(II) During the Livestream

• Monitor audience engagement, comment, and cart behaviour in real time
• Guide host on:
• • When to change items
  • Which colours or styles to priorities
  • When to revisit high-performing products
• Call out promos, brand messages and pacing cues
• Make real-time decisions to adjust the show flow for better engagement
• Troubleshoot technical or operational issues without disrupting the live

(III) Post-Livestream

• Ensure products are packed, returned, or stored properly
• Reset studio and shared spaces
• Review basic post-live reporting and internal notes for improvement

(IV) Backend & Operational Support

• Supervise ad-hoc teams for steaming, folding, hanging, and labelling
• Build deep familiarity with YHF’s operational systems and TikTok Shop
• Support ad-hoc operational tasks when needed (stock take, data entry, packing)

(B) REQUIREMENTS

• You think in flows, sequences, and storytelling
• Comfortable directing host and making quick decisions
• Strong communicator who can give clear, calm instructions
• Organised, detail-oriented, and confident juggling multiple elements live
• Enjoys routine but can adapt quickly when the plan needs to change
• Interested in live commerce, fashion, production, and audience behaviour
• A natural problem-solver who stays steady under pressure

(C) WHAT YOU’LL LEARN

Unlike traditional retail internships focused only on physical stores, this role provides exposure to how next-generation retail brands operate across both online and offline channels.

• Plan and program livestream as structured styling shows, not ad-hoc selling
• Control the live flow by guiding hosts on what items to feature and when
• Ensure every livestream follow a clear run-of-show that drives engagement, storytelling and conversion
• Hands-on learning environment
• Portfolio-worthy exposure to modern retail operations
• Support hosts, audience, and operations to deliver a smooth, confident live experience
