Cana Consulting is partnering a leading international digital infrastructure developer and operator with a growing presence across Asia-Pacific. They are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to support their regional expansion, with a particular focus on real estate acquisitions, infrastructure development and power-related projects.
The successful candidate will work closely with regional business stakeholders and external counsel across multiple APAC jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on real estate acquisitions, site development, leasing and related transactions across APAC.
- Draft, review and negotiate transaction documents, including SPAs, leases, option agreements and other development-related contracts.
- Support legal due diligence involving land use, zoning, easements, planning approvals and regulatory requirements.
- Advise on power procurement, utilities, grid connections and related infrastructure agreements.
- Work closely with investment, development, finance and technical teams to manage legal and commercial risks.
- Manage external counsel across multiple jurisdictions and provide practical, commercially focused legal advice.
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer with approximately >6 PQE, although strong candidates outside this range will be considered.
- Law degree from a Singapore, UK or Australian university.
- Strong background in real estate, infrastructure, energy, utilities or project development.
- Experience in land acquisitions, real estate transactions and development-related matters.
- Exposure to power infrastructure, utilities, grid connections or energy-related agreements would be advantageous.
- Experience in data centres, renewables, infrastructure or large-scale development projects would be highly regarded.
- Commercially minded, proactive and comfortable working with regional stakeholders.
- Candidates from both private practice and in-house backgrounds are welcome.
