We're Hiring: QA Engineer

Are you passionate about product quality and continuous improvement? Join our team as a QA Engineer and play an important role in ensuring product quality and improving manufacturing processes in the aluminium die casting and CNC machining industry.

Job Responsibilities

1. Quality Inspection & Control

• Coordinate incoming, in-process and final product inspections.
• Verify product dimensions, appearance and quality against engineering drawings and customer specifications.
• Monitor quality performance in die casting and CNC machining processes.
• Ensure inspection equipment and measuring instruments are properly maintained and calibrated.
• Review inspection results and maintain quality records and reports.

2. Manufacturing Process Quality

• Identify common die casting defects such as porosity, cold shuts, cracks, flash and shrinkage.
• Monitor CNC machining quality, including dimensions, tolerances, surface finish and machining defects.
• Work with Production and Engineering teams to resolve process-related quality issues.
• Support the preparation of inspection plans, control plans and quality work instructions.

3. Non-Conformance & Corrective Actions

• Identify, document and investigate non-conforming products or processes.
• Perform root cause analysis using 5 Why, Fishbone Analysis and other quality tools.
• Coordinate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and verify their effectiveness.
• Support containment, sorting, rework and customer complaint investigations.
• Monitor recurring defects and drive actions to reduce scrap, rework and customer rejection.

4. Continuous Improvement

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product quality and manufacturing processes.
• Participate in projects to reduce defects, waste and production costs.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI), First Article Inspection (FAI) and process validation.

Job Requirements

Education

• Diploma or Degree in any Engineering discipline.

Experience

• At least 1 year of experience in QA, QC, manufacturing or a related engineering role.
• Fresh graduates with relevant industrial training or internship experience may also apply.

Additional Requirements

• Basic knowledge of engineering drawings, dimensional tolerances and measuring instruments.
• Willing to perform shop-floor inspections in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of CMM, dimensional inspection, GD&T and ISO 9001 is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with aluminium die casting and CNC machining is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, 8D Reports and CAPA is an added advantage.
• Experience in handling customer complaints, supplier quality issues and manufacturing non-conformances is an added advantage.
