The Opportunity

As Ascott’s digital ecosystem continues to evolve, we are looking for an experienced, hands-on Senior Manager, Integration Platform to design and implement the integration architecture that supports our business strategy and objectives.

This role underpins the company’s digital ecosystem. It ensures that the systems, data, and partner channels behind every guest interaction operate as one connected, secure, and resilient platform, serving millions of guests across global properties. By owning both architecture and operations, the role keeps integration investment aligned with business strategy while delivering the stability, scalability, and compliance the business depends on every day.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and external delivery partners to translate strategic priorities into integration solutions that are scalable, secure, and reliable in production, while helping define the future operating model for integration architecture and operations. If you thrive in environments where you can build structure, governance, influence stakeholders, and drive meaningful change across a global digital ecosystem, we'd love to hear from you.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Integration and Operations Excellence

  • Define and implement integration strategies and reference architectures that enable seamless, secure communication between systems, applications, and partner channels.
  • Develop and own the multi-year integration roadmap, aligning platform investment and priorities with business strategy.
  • Establish and maintain API and integration governance, including standards, lifecycle management, and reuse, to reduce duplication and accelerate delivery.
  • Establish clear accountability for deliverables and maintain proper governance forums and cadences.
  • Embed security, data protection, and compliance requirements into integration designs and operating practices.
  • Lead platform modernisation and migration initiatives while maintaining stability for business-critical services.
  • Own the operational health of the integration platform, including monitoring, incident response, root-cause resolution, disaster recovery, and capacity planning, to maintain reliability, performance, and SLAs.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor global, cross-functional teams of architects, developers, and integration managers, including support and on-call models, to deliver integration objectives.
  • Manage vendors and delivery partners, including performance, commercials, and licensing, while controlling platform costs.
  • Maintain clear documentation of enterprise architecture, integration designs, and operating processes, so solutions are reusable and supportable.
  • Track industry trends and emerging technologies, and translate them into practical value for the business.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Act as the primary integration platform lead and trusted partner to business and technology stakeholders, and as the main point of accountability for external delivery vendors.
  • Work with development teams to establish and embed integration best practices and standards, ensuring they are adopted in day-to-day delivery.
  • Partner with Product, Business, Infrastructure, and IT Security teams to shape architectural and operational changes and ensure delivery success.
  • Hold delivery partners accountable for quality, timelines, and agreed outcomes, proactively identifying and resolving risks and blockers.

Team Leadership & Operating Model Development

  • Provide day-to-day leadership, guidance, and coaching to architects, developers, and integration managers, fostering a platform mindset focused on reliability, reuse, and business outcomes.
  • Support the evolution of the integration operating model, helping define future ways of working, governance structures, and ownership of the integration portfolio.
  • Contribute to shaping how integration services and adjacent digital platforms are structured, supported, and managed across the organisation.

Business Case Development & Strategic Communication

  • Build compelling business cases for integration initiatives and investment decisions.
  • Translate technical trade-offs into clear business implications for senior stakeholders, supported by data-driven analysis and commercial rationale.

Performance, Risk & Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor platform performance, incident trends, and stakeholder feedback to identify improvements and reduce risk.
  • Work with technology, security, and delivery teams to strengthen platform stability, scalability, and security.
  • Drive continuous improvement, using post-incident reviews and feedback to shape roadmap priorities.

REQUIREMENTS

Essential

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience in enterprise or integration architecture, including ownership of platforms in production.
  • Proven experience delivering integration solutions and platforms in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Hands-on experience with APIs, middleware, and integration patterns (event-driven, batch, file transfer) on cloud or hybrid platforms.
  • Experience with an enterprise integration platform, including API lifecycle management and governance.
  • Experience leading global or cross-functional teams, and managing vendors and delivery partners on performance and commercials.
  • Working knowledge of security, data protection, and compliance requirements in integration design.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including building business cases and explaining technical trade-offs to senior stakeholders.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity, building structure, and leading change in evolving environments.
  • Hands-on and pragmatic, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Proficiency in architectural frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).

Preferred

  • Experience in hospitality, travel, retail, e-commerce, or other customer-facing digital environments, ideally with high-volume, multi-region integration.
  • Experience with MuleSoft (Anypoint Platform, CloudHub, Runtime Fabric) or comparable integration platforms.
  • Experience leading platform modernisation or cloud migration.
  • Familiarity with relevant languages and tooling (e.g., Java, DataWeave, scripting, CI/CD).
