About Our Client

Our client is a financial services firm seeking regulatory approval for a new fund management licence and looking to appoint a Head of Fund Management to establish and lead this business in Singapore.

This newly created role combines business and fund setup, investment oversight and P&L ownership. It suits an entrepreneurial leader who can build the platform and drive its commercial growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish the fund management business, including operating model and investment capabilities

• Lead fund structuring and launches, working with legal advisers, administrators and other service providers

• Oversee investment strategies, portfolio performance and risk management

• Drive business development, investor relationships and fundraising

• Own the business P&L, budgets and growth targets

• Build the team and partner with Compliance and Operations to establish effective governance and controls

Requirements

• Relevant leadership experience in fund management, ideally complemented by securities business experience

• Proven experience establishing a business, launching funds or building an investment platform

• Strong investment knowledge and familiarity with fund structures and operating requirements

• Track record in commercial growth, investor engagement and P&L management

• Entrepreneurial, strategic and hands-on, with the ability to build and run a new business
