Job Summary

Sustio Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a dedicated and proactive Environmental Engineer to manage environmental systems, utilities, compliance activities, and environmental improvement programs within a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP), Air Pollution Control (APC), Scheduled Waste (SW), Dust Collector Systems, DI Water Systems, and compliance with environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Environmental Operations & Utilities

• Manage and supervise WWTP, Air Pollution Control (APC), Scheduled Waste (SW), Dust Collector and DI Water Treatment systems.
• Plan and coordinate daily operation schedules for environmental facilities and utilities.
• Ensure smooth operation of wastewater treatment, pure water systems, and environmental control systems.
• Monitor environmental equipment performance and initiate improvement activities when necessary.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and troubleshooting activities for environmental facilities.

Environmental Compliance

• Ensure full compliance with Environmental Quality Act 1974 (Act 127), DOE requirements, regulations, and company standards.
• Prepare and submit required environmental reports and documentation to authorities on time.
• Monitor environmental performance indicators and compliance records.
• Support customer audits, environmental audits, and regulatory inspections.

Environmental Management System

• Manage ISO 14001 Environmental Management System activities.
• Participate in environmental audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with environmental procedures, policies, and legal requirements.
• Support environmental sustainability and pollution prevention programs.

Scheduled Waste & Chemical Management

• Manage scheduled waste handling, storage, disposal, and documentation.
• Monitor chemical inventory and maintain proper stock records.
• Ensure proper environmental materials and consumables management.
• Coordinate waste disposal activities with approved contractors.

Safety & Training

• Conduct environmental awareness and safety training for technicians and operators.
• Provide refresher training related to WWTP, APC, SW, and environmental compliance.
• Support emergency response activities and environmental incident investigations.
• Promote environmental and safety best practices throughout the organization.

Project & Improvement Activities

• Participate in utility expansion, facility upgrades, and investment projects.
• Review facility layouts and environmental system modifications.
• Recommend environmental improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
• Support manufacturing requests related to utilities and environmental systems.

Job Requirements Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related engineering disciplines.

Experience

• Minimum 3-5 years of working experience in Environmental Engineering, Utilities, Wastewater Treatment, Water Treatment, Environmental Compliance, or Manufacturing Environment.
• Experience in semiconductor, electronics, PCB, chemical, or industrial manufacturing environments is an added advantage.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM7,400.00 per month
