Job Summary
Lead and ensure workplace safety compliance in construction projects by applying expertise in safety regulations, conducting risk assessments, and managing safety certifications to maintain a safe work environment.
Responsibilities
Apply knowledge of the Workplace Safety & Health Act to ensure compliance with safety regulations on construction sites
Implement and monitor safety protocols using BCSS and other relevant safety certificates to reduce workplace hazards
Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify and mitigate potential safety issues in civil and structural construction work
Utilize at least 3 years of construction experience to oversee safety practices and promote a culture of safety among workers
Coordinate with project teams to integrate safety measures into construction planning and execution
Required competencies and certifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in construction
Diploma equivalent or Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety & Health
Possession of BCSS and other relevant safety certificates
Relevant knowledge of the Workplace Safety & Health Act
Preferred competencies and qualifications
Experience in civil and structural construction work
