Customer Relationship Management ((Key Account Modern Trade Sales)

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role will manage and support major retail chain accounts and other key customers across Malaysia. The position focuses on supporting sales growth, building strong relationships with buyers, ensuring product availability, collaborating with merchandising teams, and executing in-store sales and marketing activities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain strong business relationships with bookstores, supermarkets, chain stores and Key Account customers.

• Manage daily communication and coordination with buyers, merchandisers and retail partners.

• Follow up on customer orders, stock availability, replenishment and operational matters.

• Manage existing accounts and support the achievement of monthly and annual sales targets.

• Monitor product listings, pricing, promotions, displays, barcodes and POSM materials with outlet merchandisers/promoters.

• Liaise with Operations on product listing, pricing, promotions, stock availability and new product introductions.

• Conduct regular store visits to monitor product displays, stock levels, pricing and sales performance.

• Monitor competitors’ pricing, promotions and market activities.

• Provide market feedback, customer updates and sales reports to Management.

• Support new product launches, promotional campaigns and in-store marketing activities.

• Support the day-to-day operations and coordination of e-commerce platforms.

• Identify opportunities to expand product distribution and develop new business opportunities.

• 1–3 years of experience in FMCG, Retail, Supermarket or Key Account Modern Trade Sales is preferred; experience with major retail or bookstore chains is an added advantage.

• Good communication, negotiation and customer relationship management skills, with a basic understanding of retail operations, product listing and promotions.

• Self-motivated, responsible and target-oriented, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts.

• Willing to travel for customer/store visits and support retail activities when required.

• Basic Computer skills - Microsoft Office

• Possess a valid driving license and own transportation.
