We are looking for a reliable and technically capable CNC Machinist / CNC Operator to support our marine manufacturing and production operations.

The role involves operating and setting up 3-axis and 4-axis CNC Router machines, primarily for cutting aluminium sheets and components used in the construction of marine floating vessels. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate cutting, proper machine operation and consistent production quality.

Candidates with a Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Machining or related technical background are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 3-axis and 4-axis CNC Router machines
• Operate CNC Router machines for cutting aluminium sheets and components for marine vessel construction
• Prepare machine setup, including tooling, fixtures, offsets and work holding
• Load aluminium sheets/materials and ensure proper machine operation during production
• Perform basic CNC programme editing and machine adjustments when required
• Read and interpret technical drawings, dimensions and tolerances
• Monitor cutting processes to ensure accuracy and product quality
• Carry out basic machine maintenance, cleaning and housekeeping

Job Requirements

• Certificate, SKM, Diploma, Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Machining, Production Engineering or a related field
• Candidates with relevant CNC, machining or workshop experience are encouraged to apply
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, dimensions and tolerances
• Knowledge of CAD/CAM or Rhino 3D is an advantage
• Relevant hands-on CNC or machining experience is preferred for fresh graduates
• Willing to work overtime when required
• Own transport is preferred

About the Role

This position provides an opportunity to work directly with CNC manufacturing processes within the marine and shipbuilding industry, where CNC-cut aluminium components are used in the construction of marine floating vessels.

We are looking for someone who is hands-on, technically capable and able to work independently, with a good understanding of CNC operations, mechanical production and manufacturing processes.

Experienced CNC machinists are welcome to apply, while candidates from a Mechanical, Manufacturing or related Engineering background with relevant practical CNC experience are also encouraged to apply.

Pay: From RM2,700.00 per month
