Your Impact:

The Head, Strategic Partnerships & Alliances serves as a primary dealmaker and strategic partner to the Commercial Vice President of Target Geographies. This role is responsible for driving growth through the origination, evaluation, structuring, and execution of strategic partnerships and business development transactions (in-licensing, acquisitions, and out-licensing) across key geographies (Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam).

Operating within a matrix structure, the incumbent leads and guides in-country resources to scout opportunities, conduct rigorous due diligence, build business cases, and negotiate complex contracts to successful execution.

What You’ll Work On:

• Opportunity Origination & Market Scouting: Proactively generate and cultivate a robust pipeline of deal opportunities through industry networks, partnering conferences, market intelligence, and local market engagement across target geographies (PH, VN, TH, ID).
• Evaluation & Business Case Development: Lead end-to-end cross-functional assessments—incorporating clinical, regulatory, commercial, scientific, and market access viability—to build comprehensive business models and strategic valuations.
• Due Diligence Management: Direct cross-functional diligence teams (internal stakeholders and external advisors) to validate commercial assumptions, uncover structural risks, and develop actionable risk mitigation strategies.
• Deal Structuring & Term Sheets: Formulate non-binding offers, term sheets, and creative transaction structures that provide a competitive advantage in deal bids while maximizing long-term enterprise value and ensures commercial terms are aligned with key stakeholders for best business outcomes.
• Negotiation & Contract Execution: Lead or co-lead contract negotiations and final execution in close alignment with internal legal, finance, commercial, and Asia Pacific BD leadership.
• In-Country Leadership & Capability Building: Directly lead, guide, and leverage local country resources to elevate market intelligence, opportunity screening, and overall deal-execution readiness across target territories.

What You Bring:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences, Life Sciences, or a related field required. Master’s degree or MBA strongly preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 10 years in the biopharmaceutical industry, with a proven track record in Business Development, Corporate Strategy, Portfolio Management, Strategic Marketing, or Commercial Analytics.
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in networking, deal structuring, financial modeling/ valuation, and assessing clinical/ regulatory risks and opportunities.
• Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated ability to navigate complex matrix organizations and build trusted relationships with local, regional, and global leaders.
• Languages: Fluent in English; proficiency in one or more Asian languages is desirable.
• Mindset: Driven, highly adaptable professional with strong business acumen and an execution-focused work ethic.
