Business Analyst/Product Owner (Banking experience is mandatory)

Job Type: Contract Role

Contract Duration: 6 -12 months (Extendable contract)

Competencies and Skills:

• 4 years + in a Product Owner role or BA role, product management in digital space preferably in financial services sector but not essential

• Have working knowledge in digital banking, familiar with internet banking and mobile application will be an advantage

• Experience in both agile and waterfall software development techniques

• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Hands on experience with tools such as Figma, Jira and Confluence and experience in Agile environment.

• Preparation of User Stories / Business Requirements Definition

• Strong in analytical, design & critical thinking skills.

• Strong understanding of customer journey mapping, process optimisation and value creation

• Personal skills

• Strong communication skills (verbal & written) & stakeholder management skills.

• Able to empathize with customers’ need to be able to re-imagine the user journeys.

• Flexible, resilient and adaptable working style in fast pace environment.

Job Specification:

Technical/Functional skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Accountability for the delivery of all digital initiatives, enhancements and projects across client Web, OCTO Mobile and Wealth platform assigned.

• Analyse, define and manage business requirements to support digital product delivery.

• Prepare approval papers, governance documents and conduct research/analysis for new initiatives.

• Support testing activities, including UAT, regression and production validation.

• Manage production support and operational issues within agreed SLAs.

• Contribute to the digital banking strategy and roadmap across banking, wealth and operational excellence initiatives.

• Drive transformation of customer servicing journeys through innovative digital solutions.

• Enhance customer experience and increase adoption of digital channels.

• Improve operational efficiency through automation, process redesign and continuous improvement.

• Expand self-service capabilities and simplify end-to-end customer journeys.

• Reduce dependency on branch and contact centre servicing through digitalisation.

• Collaborate with business, operations, technology, design and other key stakeholders.

• Apply design thinking and customer-centric approaches in product development.

• Leverage data, insights and analytical capabilities to support decision-making and product improvements.

• Demonstrate strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Deliver intuitive, scalable and high-impact digital experiences that support business growth and operational excellence.
