Looking for an experienced Corporate Finance and M&A expert for a leading education MNC based in KL.

Your new company

An established and rapidly expanding conglomerate is seeking a highly commercial and strategic finance leader to drive its M&A and corporate growth agenda across Malaysia and the broader SEA region. Reporting directly to the CFO, this newly created leadership role will play a pivotal part in identifying, evaluating, and executing investment opportunities, strategic partnerships, expansion initiatives, and growth projects that support the organisation's long-term vision.

Your new role

Lead the identification, assessment, and execution of strategic growth, M&A, investment, and partnership opportunities.

• Evaluate business cases, financial returns, and commercial viability of expansion initiatives.
• Drive mergers & acquisitions, strategic alliances, and corporate development projects from origination through execution.
• Conduct financial, commercial, and operational due diligence to support investment decisions.
• Prepare investment papers, board presentations, and recommendations for senior leadership.
• Build and manage relationships with investors, advisors, business partners, and key stakeholders.
• Lead commercial negotiations and transaction structuring to maximise value creation.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation and post-deal integration of strategic initiatives.

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Strategy, Investment, Law, or a related discipline.
• Postgraduate qualifications such as MBA, CFA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent will be advantageous.
• Above 10 years of relevant experience gained within corporate finance, M&A, investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory, corporate strategy, business development, consulting, infrastructure, real estate, or related sectors.
• Proven track record in evaluating and executing investments, acquisitions, partnerships, strategic initiatives, or business expansion projects.
• Strong understanding of financial analysis, valuation techniques, due diligence, transaction processes, and commercial negotiations.
• Experience engaging with senior executives, boards, shareholders, advisors, and external stakeholders.
• Exposure to the healthcare or education sector, consumer-facing businesses, real estate-linked growth projects, or regional expansion initiatives would be highly advantageous.
• Regional exposure will be viewed favourably.
