Topside Rotating Equipment Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Topside Rotating Equipment Engineer to support the engineering, design, installation, commissioning, and operational performance of rotating equipment for offshore production facilities and FPSO developments.

The successful candidate will play a key role throughout Concept Selection, Engineering Definition, FEED, and Detailed Design phases, ensuring all engineering deliverables meet project requirements, industry standards, and operational readiness objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute rotating equipment engineering activities across all project phases.
• Support equipment layout reviews, installation planning, commissioning, and start-up activities.
• Develop and maintain Mechanical Design Philosophy, Basis of Design, functional specifications, and technical scopes of work.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, datasheets, studies, and related project documentation.
• Review and comment on FEED and Detailed Design deliverables submitted by engineering contractors and consultants.

Requirements

Experience

• 5-8 years' experience rotating equipment engineering design, planning, engineering, and execution of offshore oil & gas projects.
• Prior experience in FPSO project.
• Experience supporting Conceptual Studies, FEED, and Detailed Design activities.
• Exposure to commissioning, start-up, and operational troubleshooting of rotating equipment is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Professional registration with a recognized engineering institution or professional body is an advantage.
