The Role
As a Network Engineer II, you will keep enterprise network infrastructure in the technology sector running smoothly, securely and reliably. You will take ownership of L1/L2 network operations, investigate incidents independently, and use modern monitoring and AIOps tools to spot issues early. This hybrid role suits a hands-on network professional ready to deepen their expertise and guide junior engineers.
What You'll Do
- Monitor and manage enterprise LAN, WAN and network infrastructure.
- Provide L1/L2 troubleshooting for network incidents and service degradation across routers, switches, firewalls, F5/load balancers and MPLS.
- Analyse network alerts, traffic patterns, utilisation, latency and performance trends.
- Perform root-cause analysis for recurring incidents and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate with telcos, vendors and technical teams during incident resolution.
- Support configuration changes, network implementation, failover testing and maintenance activities.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly availability, utilisation, incident and capacity reports, and guide junior engineers in line with SLA and escalation procedures.
What We're Looking For
- 3–5 years of Network Engineering, Network Operations or NOC experience.
- Strong knowledge of LAN, WAN, routing, switching, VLAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and network troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco routers and switches and enterprise network infrastructure.
- Experience supporting firewalls, F5/load balancers, MPLS or SD-WAN.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Nagios, SolarWinds or PRTG, and ITSM platforms such as BMC, ServiceNow or Zendesk.
- Proven ability in incident investigation, root-cause analysis and clear report writing.
- Exposure to AI/AIOps tools such as Cisco AI Network Analytics, HPE Mist/Marvis or Splunk AI Assistant is a plus.
What We Offer
- Hybrid working arrangement for better work-life balance.
- Training and upskilling opportunities, including exposure to AI/AIOps tools.
- Mentorship and clear career progression.
- A supportive, collaborative team environment.
