Role Overview
We are looking for a
Project Engineer
to support the successful delivery of
Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) projects
across enterprise, industrial, and smart infrastructure environments.
This role combines technical knowledge with project coordination, stakeholder management, and strong documentation capabilities. The Project Engineer will work closely with customers, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered according to agreed scope, timelines, technical specifications, and contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate day-to-day project activities, deliverables, schedules, and resources to support timely project completion.
Develop, maintain, and update
project RACI matrices
, project schedules, action trackers, and other project control documents.
Prepare and manage
technical submissions, method statements, reports, drawings, and project documentation
.
Attend project and technical meetings, prepare accurate meeting minutes, and follow up on outstanding actions.
Monitor project progress, key milestones, dependencies, and deliverables, escalating potential delays or issues where necessary.
Coordinate with
customers, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal technical teams
throughout the project lifecycle.
Support
installation, system integration, testing, commissioning, acceptance testing, and handover
activities.
Assist in identifying project risks, technical issues, delays, and dependencies, and support appropriate corrective actions.
Apply
Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
methodologies to support troubleshooting and resolution of project or system issues.
Prepare and maintain technical drawings, network diagrams, system layouts, and related documentation using
AutoCAD and/or Microsoft Visio
.
Track contractual and payment milestones and support the preparation and submission of
progress claims
.
Maintain proper project records and ensure agreed project commitments, variations, approvals, and handover documentation are accurately documented.
Support project activities outside regular office hours and travel to project or customer sites when required.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in
Information Technology, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering
, or a related discipline.
Relevant experience in
project engineering, project coordination, systems integration, telecommunications, network infrastructure, or IT/OT projects
.
Good understanding of project lifecycle activities, including planning, implementation, testing, commissioning, documentation, and handover.
Familiarity with
IT and OT environments
, including networked systems and infrastructure.
Proficiency in preparing technical drawings and diagrams using
AutoCAD and/or Microsoft Visio
.
Understanding of
Root Cause Analysis, troubleshooting, risk management, and issue tracking methodologies
.
Strong project documentation, reporting, presentation, and communication skills.
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to coordinate effectively across customers, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple project deliverables and timelines concurrently.
PMP, CCNA, ITIL, or other relevant project management/networking certifications
would be advantageous.
Willing to travel to project sites and provide support outside regular office hours when project requirements arise.
