About the Role

Hasilwan (M) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a proactive, creative and results-driven Executive, Communications (PR & Media) to join our growing Communications Department.

The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening the company's corporate reputation, managing media relations and supporting strategic communications initiatives across our businesses in power transmission, substations, renewable energy and data centre infrastructure.

This position offers an opportunity to contribute to corporate communications, public relations strategies and stakeholder engagement initiatives within a dynamic and growing organisation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Media Relations & Public Relations

• Establish and maintain strong professional relationships with journalists, editors, media representatives and industry publications.
• Develop and maintain an updated media contact database.
• Coordinate media interviews, press engagements and project site visits.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for media enquiries and coordinate responses with relevant stakeholders.

2. Corporate Communications & Content Development

• Draft and prepare press releases, media statements, speeches, corporate announcements and communication materials.
• Develop media kits, fact sheets, key messages and corporate background information.
• Coordinate advertorials, media features and industry publication placements.
• Ensure all communications are consistent with the company's corporate identity and messaging guidelines.

3. Corporate Events & Media Engagement

• Support the planning and execution of press conferences, project launches, exhibitions and corporate events.
• Coordinate media invitations, registrations, press materials and event coverage.
• Liaise with external PR agencies, photographers, videographers and media partners.

4. Media Monitoring & Reputation Management

• Monitor media coverage, industry news and social media discussions relevant to the company.
• Identify potential reputational risks and emerging communication issues.
• Support the preparation of media monitoring reports and communication updates.
