We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead / Lead Consultant to drive the design, implementation, and delivery of enterprise technology solutions. The successful candidate will take ownership of one of three key workstreams: Generic Error Handling, Auto-Recovery & Dependency Management (AIOps), or Feature Flags.

This role combines hands-on technical leadership, solution architecture, client consulting, and delivery management. You will work closely with banking stakeholders and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions within an accelerated project timeline.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Leadership & Solution Design

• Lead the end-to-end design, development, and implementation of the assigned technical workstream.
• Translate business and technical requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable solution architectures.
• Design and implement integrations with banking systems, APIs, micro frontends (MFE), backend applications, cloud platforms, and monitoring tools.
• Conduct technical reviews, establish engineering best practices, and ensure solutions meet enterprise architecture and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues across applications, integrations, infrastructure, and cloud environments.

2. Client Engagement & Consulting

• Engage banking stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business challenges, and propose suitable technical solutions.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor, providing recommendations and guidance to business and technology leadership.
• Present solution architecture, technical proposals, project progress, and business outcomes to stakeholders.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment across business, technology, and delivery teams.

3. Project & Delivery Management

• Take ownership of the assigned workstream, ensuring delivery within agreed scope, timelines, and budget.
• Lead project execution activities, including planning, technical coordination, integration, and delivery tracking.
• Drive SIT and UAT activities, quality assurance, production deployment, go-live, and hypercare support.
• Proactively identify and manage technical risks, dependencies, delivery challenges, and project issues.
• Coordinate with other Technical Leads and Consultants to ensure seamless integration across workstreams.

4. Team Leadership & Development

• Provide technical direction, coaching, and mentorship to Senior Consultants, Consultants, and Associate Consultants.
• Guide engineering teams on solution design, implementation approaches, and troubleshooting.
• Promote engineering excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Contribute to reusable technical frameworks, implementation assets, and internal capability development.

Requirements

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 9–12 years of relevant experience in software development, system integration, technical consulting, or enterprise technology delivery.
• Proven experience leading complex technical projects from solution design through implementation and production deployment.
• Strong technical expertise in at least one of the following areas:

Generic Error Handling

• API design, error-handling frameworks, exception management, and application observability.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana and Splunk.

Auto-Recovery & Dependency Management (AIOps)

• Application monitoring, automated incident detection, alerting, and recovery mechanisms.
• Familiarity with AI/ML platforms and automated incident response solutions.

Feature Flags

• Feature management, code analysis, automated refactoring, and application release strategies.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and controlled software deployment.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or GCP.
• Hands-on exposure to containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes; PCF experience is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication, presentation, client engagement, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and deliver effectively under tight timelines.

Preferred Requirements

• Previous experience in banking, financial services, or other regulated environments.
• Familiarity with banking technology ecosystems, including APIs, micro frontends (MFE), and backend applications.
• Knowledge of AI/ML platforms such as AWS SageMaker and Azure Machine Learning.
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and ELK Stack.
• Good understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD automation, and Agile delivery.
• Relevant certifications in AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, or ITIL.

Key Deliverables

• Design, implementation, and successful production deployment of the assigned workstream.
• Technical architecture documents, solution designs, and implementation specifications.
• Integration with existing banking applications, APIs, and monitoring platforms.
• Knowledge transfer, technical documentation, and training materials for banking technology teams.
• Measurable improvements in operational efficiency, such as reduced incident escalations, improved error visibility, and enhanced application recovery capabilities.
