Role purpose:

Provide technical pre-sales technical support for Allot opportunities across APAC working alongside Regional Sales Directors. The Sales Engineer will discover customer requirements, develop solution architectures, lead workshops, demonstrations and proof-of-concepts, and create compelling technical responses. Hands-on experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or comparable public cloud technologies is mandatory. Experience with AI tools and agentic frameworks is desirable.

Key responsibilities

• Lead discovery workshops with CSP and enterprise stakeholders to understand business objectives, network architecture, security requirements, cloud strategy, operational constraints, and success criteria.
• Design secure, scalable solutions spanning on-premises, virtualized, containerized, hybrid-cloud, and public-cloud environments.
• Position Allot and partner solutions across network intelligence, cybersecurity, DDoS protection, DNS security, anti-botnet, consumer and business security, traffic visibility, policy enforcement, and value-added services.
• Own the technical sales cycle from qualification and architecture through presentations, demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, technical closure, and delivery handover.
• Prepare solution architectures, bills of materials, sizing assumptions, compliance responses, proposals, scope documents, implementation of prerequisites, and executive presentations.
• Lead or support RFIs, RFPs, tenders, competitive evaluations, and partner-led bids with accurate and differentiated technical responses.
• Partner with APAC sales teams to develop technical account plans, opportunity strategies, qualification criteria, and measurable next steps.
• Engage customer business, network, cloud, cybersecurity, procurement, operations, and executive stakeholders with clear business and technical messaging.
• Enable system integrators, channel partners, cloud partners, and technology alliances through training, joint design sessions, and deal support.
• Capture technical risks, dependencies, competitive intelligence, customer feedback, and agreed actions, and communicate them clearly to internal stakeholders.

Required experience and capabilities

• 5-7 years of industry experience in sales engineering, pre-sales, solution architecture, technical consulting, or a related customer-facing role.
• Proven experience supporting CSP solutions, enterprise solutions, or both, including complex multi-stakeholder technology sales cycles.
• Strong understanding of IP networking, cybersecurity, cloud, virtualization, containers, Kubernetes, managed services, and enterprise or telecom solution architectures.
• Ability to translate business and technical requirements into coherent architectures, value propositions, demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and technical proposals.
• Experience preparing solution designs, RFx responses, architecture diagrams, sizing inputs, compliance matrices, and implementation assumptions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to engage technical, commercial, and executive audiences.
• Ability to work independently across countries and time zones while collaborating with sales, product, engineering, services, partners, and customer teams.
• Willingness to travel across APAC according to customer and business needs.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with telecom security, DDoS mitigation, DNS security, anti-botnet, parental control, network analytics, DPI, policy control, managed security, or enterprise cybersecurity solutions.
• Relevant AWS, Microsoft Azure, networking, security, Kubernetes, or cloud architecture certifications are advantageous.
• Experience with AI productivity tools, generative AI applications, and agentic frameworks for research, solution design, proposal development, automation, or customer demonstrations.
• • Customer or partner experience across multiple APAC markets, with sensitivity to different business cultures and customer engagement models.
  • A degree in engineering, computer science, telecommunications, cybersecurity, or equivalent practical experience.
